Why this exists
Most internet transactions still start with a question that has no good answer: “are you real?” Buyers screenshot follower counts. Sellers paste testimonials into DMs. Freelancers send PDFs of past invoices. Couples send selfies to landlords. None of it actually proves anything.
The platforms we transact on — Instagram, WhatsApp, marketplaces, email — were not designed to carry identity or reputation between each other. Every new conversation starts from zero. Every new buyer has to be re-convinced. Every scam compounds the doubt.
Realr is a single, portable trust profile that works wherever people actually meet online. Verify once. Carry the result with you.
What Realr is
- One profile, one QR. Your verified identity, your real history, your reviews — all at
realr.me/your-handle. - Three trust layers. Identity verifications, behavioral signals (completed interactions, repeat buyers, on-time delivery), and portable surfaces — embeds, QR cards, shareables — that take the trust off Realr.
- Privacy-preserving by default. We verify your documents and show the green check. The document itself never gets shown to anyone visiting your profile.
What Realr is NOT
Realr is trust infrastructure — not a marketplace, not an escrow service, not a bank, not enterprise KYC software. We’ll never hold your money. We’ll never decide which buyers you accept. We don’t take a cut of any transaction. Our job is to make the trust visible. Your job is to do the business.
Where we’re going
End-state, “send me your Realr” becomes the default before transacting with an internet stranger — the same way “send me your Insta” became default a decade ago. The difference: Insta tells you they exist. Realr tells you they deliver.
We’re building this India-first and globally-ready. India because the trust-trauma is acute (peer-to-peer commerce on WhatsApp / Instagram / OLX is enormous and largely unverified), the rails are ready (UPI, Aadhaar), and the language for trust is universal enough to travel.
Want to help?
The fastest way to help is to claim your handle, verify, and share your Realr in the places your buyers already find you. If you’re building something adjacent — a marketplace, a creator tool, a payment app — we’d love to talk about embedding Realr. Drop us a line.
