Why this exists
Almost every meeting with an internet stranger starts with a question that has no good answer: “are you real?” A match sends more selfies. A rishta gets vetted on hearsay. A flatmate sends a blurry ID photo. None of it actually proves the person is who they say — or even a real, single human at all.
The places we meet — dating apps, matrimony sites, DMs, messages, marketplaces — were not designed to carry verified identity between each other. Every new match starts from zero. Every new person has to be re-vetted. Every catfish compounds the doubt.
Realr is a single, portable trust profile that works wherever people actually meet online. Verify you’re real once. Carry the result with you.
What Realr is
- One profile, one QR. Your verified-human status, your verified photos, your couple link — all at
realr.me/your-handle. - Real-person proof. Real person (liveness), 18+, verified photos, location consistent, couple verified — the things a catfish can’t fake, each shown as a calm badge.
- Privacy-preserving by default. We verify your documents and show the green check. The document itself never gets shown to anyone visiting your profile.
What Realr is NOT
Realr is trust infrastructure — not a dating app, not a marketplace, not an escrow service, not a bank, not enterprise KYC software. We’ll never hold your money. We’ll never decide who you meet. Our job is to make “you’re real” visible. Your job is to decide who to trust.
Where we’re going
End-state, “send me your Realr” becomes the default before meeting an internet stranger — the same way “send me your Insta” became default a decade ago. The difference: a profile tells you someone exists. Realr tells you they’re real. And once you’re verified, that same proof works for your business too — a real track record people can’t fake.
We’re building this India-first and globally-ready. India because the trust-trauma is acute (dating, matrimony, and peer-to-peer meetups are enormous and largely unverified), the rails are ready (UPI, Aadhaar), and the language for trust is universal enough to travel.
