Refunds, plainly.

The plain-English version. If something here ever conflicts with the Terms, this page wins for refund and cancellation questions.

What you can pay for on Realr

See /pricing for the live price list. There are two kinds of charge:

  • One-time fees — Verified Identity verification (₹99) is a one-time charge tied to a specific identity check. Once approved, the badge is yours forever.
  • Subscriptions — Trust Lite (₹299 / month) and Trust Pro (₹999 / month) renew monthly until you cancel.

Cancellation — subscriptions

  • You can cancel any time from /me/settings or by emailing support@realr.me.
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you keep paid-tier features for the remainder of the month you've already paid for.
  • We do not auto-renew silently. Two reminder emails go out 7 days and 1 day before renewal so you can cancel ahead of the charge.
  • Cancelling a subscription does NOT delete your account or your verifications. Your profile stays live on the Free tier.

Refunds — subscriptions

  • Within 7 days of first subscribing — full refund, no questions. Email support@realr.me from the address on the account.
  • After 7 days — we don't refund partial months. Cancel any time and you'll keep paid features until the period ends; no further charges.
  • Service outage refunds — if Realr is materially unavailable for more than 24 continuous hours in a billing period (as visible on /status), we pro-rate a credit against your next month or refund on request.
  • Erroneous duplicate charges — refunded in full as soon as we confirm the duplicate, no time limit.

Refunds — one-time Verified Identity (₹99)

  • If verification is rejected by our reviewer — full refund automatically within 5 working days. No action needed from you.
  • If verification is approved — non-refundable. The check has been performed and the badge issued.
  • If you cancel before review begins — full refund. Email support@realr.me within 24 hours of paying.

How refunds are processed

  • Refunds go back to the original payment method (card, UPI, net banking). We can't refund to a different account.
  • Indian cards typically credit within 5–7 working days. UPI within 1–3 working days. International cards may take up to 14 working days depending on issuer.
  • You will receive an email confirmation when the refund is issued. The credit will appear on your card / UPI statement under the merchant name shown on your original charge.
  • We never charge a refund fee.

What we don't refund

  • Fees for verifications that were successfully approved.
  • Subscription months already consumed (we only stop the next charge).
  • Charges older than 90 days, unless required by law or by the payment processor's chargeback policy.

Chargebacks & disputes

If you don't recognise a Realr charge, please email support@realr.me before filing a chargeback with your card issuer — we can usually resolve it within one working day. Chargebacks filed without contacting us first may result in account suspension while the dispute is reviewed; once resolved, the account is restored.

Money rule (important)

Realr is a trust-profile and workflow product. We do NOT hold money for transactions between you and your buyers / clients. Payments between users move on rails you choose (UPI, Stripe, Razorpay, bank transfer, etc.) — Realr only tracks the workflow state and proof. Any refund question about money you sent to or received from another Realr user is between you and that user; we can surface the trust history but cannot reverse the underlying payment.

Questions or refund requests

Email support@realr.me from the address on your account. Include the email, the approximate charge date, and a one-line reason. We reply within one working day.
