Getting started
What is Realr, really?
Realr is a portable trust profile. You verify your identity once, build real history (completed interactions, reviews), and share one link / one QR everywhere your buyers, clients, or partners find you. It’s the “Send me your Realr” before money or work changes hands.
Do I need to install anything?
No. Realr works in your browser. On phones, tap the install prompt or your browser’s “Add to home screen” and it behaves like a native app — lock-screen QR, offline-safe, no app store.
Is Realr free?
Claiming a handle is always free. Verified Identity is a one-time ₹99 / $1.99 — never a subscription, never recurring. Subscriptions only come in for sellers running transactions (Trust Lite from ₹299/mo). Buyers verifying someone else’s Realr are always free. See pricing.
Verification
What do you actually do with my ID?
We verify it against the source (e.g. the issuing registry) and show the green check on your profile. The document image itself is never shown to anyone visiting your Realr. You can revoke a verification any time from Privacy.
My verification is “In review”. How long does it take?
Selfie and government ID reviews usually clear in a few hours. Business registrations can take up to a working day. You’ll get a notification the moment it’s approved.
Mine was rejected. What now?
Open the verification — you’ll see the specific reason (e.g. photo too blurry, ID expired). Re-submit with the fix. We don’t penalize re-submissions.
Sharing your Realr
Where can I put my Realr link?
Anywhere people meet you online: Instagram bio, WhatsApp status, marketplace listing, packaging label, business card, email signature, website footer. The QR is small enough for a shipping sticker.
Can I have more than one QR?
Yes. Inside /scan you can download branded QR cards (light, dark, Instagram-story 9:16). All point to the same profile. We’re adding event-scoped and one-time QRs soon.
Interactions & reviews
Does Realr handle the money?
No. Realr tracks the workflow — who confirmed what, when proof was added, who reviewed — but we never hold or move money. You record the payment reference once it happens externally (UPI, Razorpay, Stripe, bank transfer — anything). This is on purpose: Realr is trust infrastructure, not a payments processor.
Where do reviews come from?
Only from buyers who actually completed an interaction with you on Realr. No anonymous strangers, no review bombing, no paid reviews. The link between completion and review is the whole point.
What happens if there’s a dispute?
Either side can raise an issue from the interaction page. The workflow pauses, both sides see the note, and you resolve it together. The trail stays in the activity log so the public record reflects reality.
Privacy & account
Who can see my profile?
By default, anyone with your link. You can switch any field (location, socials, verifications, reviews) to QR-only so it’s revealed only when someone scans your QR — or to Connections / Private. Manage from Privacy.
Can I export my data?
Yes — JSON export of your profile, verifications, transactions, sessions and security events is one tap inside Privacy → Your data.
Can I delete my Realr?
Yes. From Privacy → Delete account. Deletion is final — your handle goes back into the public pool after a short cool-off so we can’t restore it.
I’m signed out of my old device. How do I sign back in?
Magic link to your email. If you’ve added a recovery email, you can use that too. Lost both? Email support.
Reporting & trust safety
Someone’s impersonating me / running a scam.
Every public Realr has a Report concern link in the footer. We review every report ourselves. Trust safety is what we sell — we take this seriously.
Realr never promises “zero scams,” right?
Right. Anyone who promises zero is lying. Our job is to make scams expensive: verified identity, public history, real-name reviews. The accountability cost goes way up. The vast majority of bad actors choose lower-friction targets.
